Yvonne's email news
to a donor
Written
on 6th June 2008
Dearest (name withheld at donor's
request),
I send you and (name withheld) loving greetings as usual.
Many thanks for your last email with news of your most recent
donation. You beat me to the draw by a hair's breath. I only received notification about your donation
via Mercy Works Inc last Saturday. They require that we make formal application for the money
you have given. Tim, our project officer, has the application prepared and it should be
in the hands of Mercy Works Sydney office either today or tomorrow. Again, thanks a million to you both.
Today is a public holiday so I am making the most of catching up a little on
my correspondence. Such a great feeling. Still much to be done though.

Ms. Lisa Filipetto
Australian High Commissioner to Kenya
We are really getting excited about the forthcoming visit of the
Australian High Commissioner and her husband on 19th June. The Bishop has already given us three goats so we can share roasted
meat with the guest list of local people and visiting dignitaries. They will gather here for the blessing and opening of the newly
constructed Lodwar Mercy Centre on 20th June 2008.
Your own donation will go towards the building of two covered table and seating
areas where people can gather in some degree of shaded comfort outside the Mercy Centre. We are hoping
these outdoor facilities will be completed before the Centre's opening for that is the designated seating
place for our distinguished guests and other invited people for this
and future gatherings.
This all seems rather badly worded my dear so I do hope you can make sense of it. However, we should have some good photos.
They say one photo is worth a thousand words so make sure you chase me
up if I forget to send them on to you.
Heaps of love my very dear friends and continue to feel blessed.
